How Using a Paper Planner Will Increase Your Chances of Success

Using a Paper Planner | How Using a Paper Planner Will Increase Your Chances of Success

When it comes to achieving our goals, many of us prefer going the digital route. We store our aspirations on our phones or computers, believing that this gives us easier access to them and increases our chances of success. However, research has shown that using a paper planner can actually help us achieve our goals faster than using a digital device. Below, we will explore the benefits of using a paper planner and discuss how it can increase your chances of success!

Here is how using a paper planner increases your chances of success.

1. Effective goal planning means so much more than just setting up alerts, to-dos, and reminders.

While these features can be helpful, they don't give you the full picture of what it will take to achieve your goal. Successful goal-setters spend all of the time they need to clarify, prioritize, and map out their goals – without distractions. It's about focusing on you and your goals without letting any other outside influences into your special space. For that, you'll need to put away your phone.

Using a good paper goal planner helps you break down your goals into smaller, more manageable pieces. When you are trying to accomplish a significant goal, it can be overwhelming to try and figure out where to start. However, by writing down your goal in a planner and breaking it down into smaller steps, you can more easily see the path to success. This can increase your motivation and focus and help you stay on track.

2. Electronic devices are a huge distraction that can cost you your desired outcome.

As one of our customers said: "The Success Acceleration Planner is the best! I tried using my phone's calendar but disliked constant interruptions from Facebook and Instagram notifications. I'd find myself down the rabbit hole and not remember what I was trying to do."

When you're trying to focus on your goals, the last thing you need is a notification from your phone or computer telling you that someone liked your latest Instagram post. Distractions like these can cost you valuable time and make it harder to achieve your goal. By using a paper planner, you can minimize distractions and better focus on what's important – achieving your goal!

3. Using electronic devices and apps to set goals cannot compare to actually putting pen to paper.

The whole purpose of writing down your goals, and setting them in the first place is to change your own mental state. Since your brain is attached to your senses, you simply get a much richer stream of sensory information from writing down your goals using your hands, feeling the paper, and feeling the solidity of your journal next to you all day. It can't be matched.

4. Using a paper planner helps you visualize your goals better

When you store your goals on a digital device, they can easily become lost in a sea of other files and apps. However, when you write them down in a physical planner, you are more likely to look at them on a regular basis and keep them at the forefront of your mind. This allows you to better visualize the steps you need to take in order to achieve your goals.

5. You are 42 percent more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down

A study by Dominican University found that people who wrote down their goals were 42 percent more likely to achieve them. The study also found that those who told friends or family about their goals were even more likely to succeed, with a success rate of 78 percent. Read more about the study here.

When we write our goals down, not only do we gain a better understanding of what we want to achieve, but we are able to process the information more quickly, visualize our desired outcomes more clearly, and our goals become ingrained in our brains.

They "imprint" on us, so we act upon them more readily, almost like an internal GPS map that tells you the directions you need to reach your destination.

Your "internal map" won't be "fully calibrated" unless you give yourself the opportunity to sit down, clarify and write your goals and Life vision, and create a roadmap to success.

So, there you have it! These are just a few of the reasons why using a paper planner can help increase your chances of success.

If you're looking for a way to better focus on your goals and achieve them faster, be sure to give paper goal planning a try!
